Our vision is to provide leading technical solutions for a sustainable tomorrow. To live up to our vision, we need to constantly develop, but never compromise on corporate responsibility.
On January 1, 2021, the regulation (EU) 2017/821 of the European Parliament and of the council of 17 May 2017 laying down supply chain due diligence obligations for Union importers of tin, tantalum and tungsten, their ores, and gold originating from conflict-affected and high-risk areas came into force. Directly affected EU importers of minerals and metals over certain thresholds must comply with respective supply chain due diligence obligations.
We are aware of the due diligence and obligations concerning the regulation regarding “Conflict minerals”. Compotech is aware of its responsibilities and is contributing at various levels to sustainability protect human rights. Compotech is committed to ensuring the health, safety and protection of the people who extract and mines 3TGs. We do that by expecting our suppliers to conduct their business in an economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable manner. We encourage our suppliers to source 3TGs responsibly, as well as to improve their respective processes, engage in and commit to the responsible sourcing of minerals.
To ensure that our products is sourced ethically with respect to human right values we conduct a survey every three-years with our supply chain responsible for 3TG-material or cobalt. Should there be any indication of violation regarding the aspects and risks of the “OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs) – Annex II”, the supplier will be contacted. If non-conformities are found, we agree with the supplier on adequate corrective actions. If the corrective actions are not carried out within a reasonable period, Compotech will excludes the supplier from the supply chain.
