– Dust, dirt, lubricants, moisture, and extreme temperatures: pushbuttons and switches for operating outdoor machines have to withstand a great deal. With the RAFIX 22 FSR, RAFI has developed a new control component series for rough outdoor use that can stand up to harsh weather conditions, mechanical force, dirt, and lubricants without any trouble.
The series consists of tamper-proof and non-blocking emergency stop buttons, illuminated pushbuttons in six colors, selector switches that can be illuminated as an option, and key switches equipped with a plastic protective cap. All control components reach IP 65 and IP 69K protection class at the front and can therefore be cleaned with 80-100 bar high-pressure cleaners. The devices have been designed for a -40°C to +85°C temperature range. RAFI combines especially robust characteristics with proven RAFIX 22 FS technology in this new series. Thereby FSR components can be used with existing PCB contact blocks to be applied onto printed circuit boards or with wired QC contact blocks with quick connect terminals. Due to their mounting depth of only 9.2 mm, PCB contact blocks allow for extremely slim housing designs and the integration of control components in system solutions. For wired solutions, RAFI offers QC contact blocks with flat quick-connect terminals and a mounting depth of 27 mm behind the front panel. They are simply plugged into the actuators from behind and lock firmly into place. All contact module types are available with gold or silver contacts as well as with one NC contact and one NO contact, with two NC contacts or two NO contacts.
